Sumner County and Middle Tennessee have a strong equestrian history that can be seen in its historic barns and calling towers, and past winner of Kentucky Derby and Steeple Chase champions.
The area is still home to a large number of small horse farms and facilities particularly in the Long Hollow Pike to Cottontown area. There are also many boarding facilities and riding academies.
The newest development currently under construction is a planned equestrian community known as Paddock Place. Paddock Place will feature luxury barns, show rinks, riding trails and private club. A planned community will feature single-family homes within three price ranges.
